More Photographs :: TR3 featuring Tim Reynolds TR3 Setlist :: Tupelo Music Hall, Salisbury Elan Trotman :: a local Boston Jazz artist, originally from the island of Barbados and one of New England’s most talented jazz artists. Trotman is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Education. Elan teaches music within the Boston Public School system and is a prominent member of the Boston and Providence music scene. I met Elan Trotman and the Elan Trotman Band last weekend at Fan Pier in Boston. Trotman and his band performed on Sunday April 25th at the main stage of Race Village, the hub of activity for the 2008-2009 Volvo Ocean Race North American port stop. Many in the summer concert music community are buzzing about the much anticipated release of the new Dave Matthews Band album titled, Big Whiskey and the Groo Grux King. Today marks the two month countdown. Big Whiskey and the Groo Grux King is slated to drop on June 2nd. This Dave Matthews photo was taken during the 2001 summer tour during an encore solo performance of Waste — a tribute to Trey Anastasio and Phish — on August 4th in Harford, CT. The 2009 Dave Matthews Band tour kicks off April 14th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
